I have no words to describe how incredible the experience at “Médium Rare” was. Starting with the fantastic selection of cocktails and wines, followed by an amazing salad and continuing with the most exceptional steak accompanied with an exquisite secret sauce and their incredible French fries. To finish with a very complete selection of desserts of which I want to highlight the “Double Chocolate Fudge Layer Cake” which I assure you will not be able to finish. All this accompanied by the most cordial attention from Angel, the waiter, Ana the bartender and Marina, the manager. In short, a cozy place to share with your partner, family and friends.
Having dined here twice, my main recommendation is to avoid coming on a Friday or Saturday even if you have a reservation! Food is great and it makes for a good dining experience when it's not crazy. A peak time on a Friday and Saturday and you're liable to be waiting for quite a while for your reservation.
We had such an amazing experience. We came for brunch. The food was great and the service was incredible. We had Meru and she was so attentive and sweet. This is now our favorite brunch spot in DC. The breakfast was tasty and the bottomless mimosas were flowing. Please consider visiting.
I am editing my review. After a bad experience Marina, the manager, called me to apologies and know what happened. She fix everything and also gave a complimentary dinner on her to give another chance to the restaurant. The 2nd dinner was amazing. Friendly staff and the food was good as always. Thank you for your attention and for taking care of everything. This kind of attitude shows that you care about your customers.
Medium Rare is always a regular place to visit when visiting my sister in the DC area. Always a pleasant dinning experience and the very simple menu makes things easy, cause there’s on one entree in the menu, steak, and that’s why you dine here. A nice variety of wine and drink specials along with local selection of bottled craft beer, and the dessert menu has something for everyone. The outdoor dinning is my favorite here. The atmosphere is always pleasant and the food is always great.
I had an amazing experience at this location for my birthday with Marco and Daniel. They made sure that everybody got their drinks as requested food as requested and had a good time. I would definitely return here and would recommend this to others. I am picky about how my meat is cooked, but they cooked their meat in a great way as I order medium rare. Come check out medium rare if you want a good time!
The dining experience I had at Medium Rare in Cleveland Park was phenomenal! I am not from the area and I heard about this local restaurant from a few friends who swear by it and I have never been more glad that I listened to them. The host, Katie immediately made us feel welcomed and sat us at a cozy outdoor table. The amazing service continued with our server, Bianca, who gave us great wine recommendations and explained the set menu of bread, salad, and TWO servings of steak and fries. We definitely left very impressed and I can’t wait to come back next time I’m in DC.
Daniel and the entire staff delivered the absolute best brunch! My wife and I have been coming for years and they still find ways to improve. Steak and eggs are amazing but nothing beats the french toast.
I came to Medium Rare in Cleveland Park for brunch to celebrate my 21st birthday and this is the perfect place to celebrate especially with the bottomless brunch!! The atmosphere is very lively and fun which makes the experience even better. Our server Daniel made sure we had everything we needed and made the celebration unforgettable with a huge sparkler candle in my birthday dessert!!
